THE STORY BEHIND
FALF minimal chic

The brand FALF Minimal Chic was officially presented on the market with the collection A / W 2016-2017 “Dancing with abstract expressionism”. The designer, Irini Roupakia, had no professional relationship with fashion in the past. It all started with a home sewing machine and a friendly discussion about simplicity in style. She has a pure approach, a need to realize the principles that determine personal lifestyle, not just the way one dresses herself up. She has graduated from the Department of Archeology and Art of the University of Ioannina, then studied Interior Architecture and decoration and Design and Pattern. Each of her steps led to the channeling of all the diverse knowledge into what today is the FALF Minimal Chic.

From 2022 she shares her love for the brand with Katerina Beska who has studies in economics and working experience in multinationals companies as an economist. Loving the creations of Irene, Katerina actively participates in the brand, offering the financial and administrative knowledge she has received from her many years of working experience having taken over the field of finance and marketing.

FALF Minimal Chic’s philosophy is built on the pillar that all art forms are interconnected and function as One. Colors, shapes, movement, music. The designer does not want to be spend herself in a superficial and obvious expression of Hellenism but to approach different movements of art and cultural elements as if performing a Doric study, stripping them of everything complex and foreign. A genuine Greek virtue. Usually, inspiration is the patchwork of images, experiences, and favorite readings. The basis is the study of history, fabric and the fashion industry, the various historical movements, literature and cinema. The materials are carefully selected, natural and pure and the clothes are made by local workshops always aiming to keep production within borders and to promote the local economy.
